My name is Josh Rauzan, and I am the Year Advisor for Year 8 in 2025.
As your Year Advisor, my role is to support all students in Year 8 with their welfare and learning as they continue their journey through high school. I work closely with Mrs Vanessa Bell, the Assistant Year 8 Advisor, along with the welfare team and classroom teachers, to ensure your child is supported throughout their time at East Hills Boys High School. I am the first point of contact for parents or guardians regarding any issues related to your child’s wellbeing at school.
Year 8 is an important year where students build on the foundations they developed in Year 7. It’s a time for them to grow their confidence, explore new interests, and strengthen friendships. At East Hills Boys High School, we aim to provide your son with opportunities to thrive academically and personally in a supportive environment that values respect, growth, and resilience.
Our dedicated staff work collaboratively to keep students motivated and focused on their education and development. We have a fantastic support network, including an excellent welfare team, ready to assist students as they navigate challenges and prepare for their futures.
In Year 8, students will continue studying a broad range of subjects, including English, Mathematics, Science, Geography, History, PDHPE, Visual Arts, Technology, Music, and Berry Street. These subjects will provide them with engaging learning experiences that prepare them for senior years and beyond. At the of the year they will be selecting new subjects that are more suited to their interests and sets them up well for the senior years.
