Year Advisors
Each cohort year has a dedicated Year Advisor and Assistant Year Advisor who will guide students throughout their schooling years at East Hills Boys High School.
Year 7
Hi, my name is Magdoline Shakir and I’m the Year Advisor for Year 7 in 2026. My role is to support students with both their learning and wellbeing as they settle into high school. I work closely with Ms Jasmine Alsudani, the Year 7 Assistant Year Advisor, along with classroom teachers and the welfare team to make sure every student feels supported at East Hills Boys High School. I am also the main point of contact for parents and carers with any concerns about their son’s wellbeing.
Starting high school is an exciting time, but it can also feel like a big change. At East Hills Boys High School, we work hard to create a supportive environment where students feel confident, motivated and ready to learn. With the guidance of our staff and the support of the wider school community, students are encouraged to grow, take risks in their learning and discover their potential.
Year 7 students study a wide range of subjects including English, Mathematics, Science, Geography, History, Literacy, Numeracy, PDHPE, Visual Arts, Music, Technology and Berry Street. This broad curriculum helps students build strong foundations while exploring their interests.

Year 8
My name is Firas Adra, and I am the relieving Year 8 Advisor for 2026. My role is to provide ongoing support for all Year 8 students, focusing on their wellbeing and learning throughout the year. I work closely with Mr Dion Omeros, the Assistant Year Advisor, as well as the welfare team and classroom teachers, to ensure that every student is supported during his time at East Hills Boys High School. I am also the first point of contact for parents and guardians regarding any concerns about their son’s wellbeing.
At East Hills Boys High School, we are dedicated to helping students grow, mature, and reach their full potential. With the combined support of our staff and the wider school community, we aim to provide every student with a fulfilling and engaging educational experience.

Year 9
My name is Josh Rauzan, and I am the Year Advisor for Year 9 in 2026.
As your Year Advisor, my role is to support all students in Year 9 with their welfare and learning as they continue their journey through high school. I work closely with Ms Sarah Sen, the Assistant Year 9 Advisor, along with the welfare team and classroom teachers, to ensure your child is supported throughout their time at East Hills Boys High School. I am the first point of contact for parents or guardians regarding any issues related to your child’s wellbeing at school.
Year 9 is an important year where students build on the foundations they developed in Year 7 & 8. It’s a time for them to grow their confidence, explore new interests, and strengthen friendships. At East Hills Boys High School, we aim to provide your son with opportunities to thrive academically and personally in a supportive environment that values respect, growth, and resilience.
Our dedicated staff work collaboratively to keep students motivated and focused on their education and development. We have a fantastic support network, including an excellent welfare team, ready to assist students as they navigate challenges and prepare for their futures.
In Year 9, students will continue studying a broad range of subjects, including English, Mathematics, Science, Geography, History, PDHPE, Visual Arts, Technology, Music, and Berry Street. These subjects will provide them with engaging learning experiences that prepare them for senior years and beyond. At the of the year they will be selecting new subjects that are more suited to their interests and sets them up well for the senior years.

Year 10
My name is Ms Manu and I am the Year Advisor for Year 10 2026. I work closely with Mr Jarrod Stokehill, who is the Year 10 Assistant Year Advisor, with the school welfare team and the student's classroom teachers to ensure students are achieving their educational goals.
My key role is to assist the students of Year 10 with all aspects of their wellbeing and its impact on their learning. I am the first point of contact for parents/guardians in relation to any issues regarding your son's/ward's wellbeing at East Hills Boys High School. The staff at East Hills Boys High School will also be pivotal in ensuring that students feel welcomed and supported.

Year 11
My name is Jason Morvan and I am a Science teacher and the Year 11 Adviser for 2026. As Adviser, my role is to be the main point of contact for both teachers and parents regarding the boys' welfare and well-being.
I work closely with my assistant, Mrs Madison Barnes, and Head Teachers of Welfare, Mrs Lisa Callaway and Mrs Rheema Ayoubi, ensuring that each and every Year 11 student feels at home at East Hills Boys as they grow from young boys into young men. Each student will forge their own path which will hopefully see them achieve their ambitions. Year 11 marks the year where students can either continue their studies into senior secondary or decide to transition from school and learn a trade or other similar vocation to begin their new life.
One of the most rewarding and satisfying aspects of teaching is witnessing a student maturing, recognising and accepting their own responsibilities, and becoming an adult. as Year 11 Year Advisor I will guide the students to support the decisions they make for their future.
I look forward to meeting parents at awards ceremonies, Open Nights at school, at sporting events, or any other school event that your son is invited to.

Year 12
My name is Natalie Josevski and I am the Year 12 Year Advisor for 2026, relieving from Ms Ayoubi. Mr Benjamin Lockeridge is the Assistant Year Advisor, who will work closely with me in supporting your sons.
My role is to assist the students of Year 12 with all aspects involved in their wellbeing and it’s impacts on their learning. I work closely with the school welfare team and classroom teachers to ensure your son has the best experience possible at East Hills Boys High School. I am the first point of contact for parents in relation to any issues regarding your sons’ wellbeing at East Hills Boys High School.
I have had the pleasure of working with Year 12 as their Assistant Year Advisor since they were in Year 8 and have seen them grow from shy little boys to the amazing, capable and confident young men they have become in Year 12.
Year 12 will have many opportunities to get involved in at school and I encourage students to participate in as many school groups and activities in order to build memories of their last few years of school.
