My name is Rima Gerges and I am the Year Advisor for Year 7 2023.
My role is to provide support for all students in Year 7 by looking at their welfare and learning throughout the course of the year. I work closely with Mr Josh Rauzan, the Year 7 Assistant Year Advisor, the welfare team and classroom teachers to ensure that your son is continually being supported during their time at East Hills Boys High School. I am the first point of call for parents/guardians in relation to any issues regarding your son's/ward's wellbeing at our school.
Year 7 is an exciting, yet challenging time for students, as they transition from primary school to high school and enter new experiences and environments. East Hills Boys High School will provide your son/s with opportunities to grow, mature and find out who they are. The support from all staff and the community allows them to have a fulfilling education here. I am looking forward to working with Year 7 to help them on their exciting journey to the future.
The staff at EHBHS are committed to supporting their students so they can maintain motivation and a positive outlook on their education and development. We have a great support network in the school and great welfare team, who will be there for the boys preparing them for the outside world.
Students in Year 7 will be completing a variety of subjects as part of their education. These subjects include English, Mathematics, Science, Geography, History, Literacy, Numeracy, PDHPE, Visual Arts, Music, Technology and Berry Street.
I look forward to getting to know Year 7 and their families this coming year. I will pass on important information and documents throughout the year, however, please do not hesitate in contacting me with any further concerns.
If you would like to contact me directly, I can be contacted by either email on rima.elazzi@det.nsw.edu.au or by phoning the school on 9773 7806.
Students can find me in the Math Staffroom in E Block.
