My name is Julka Djokic and I am continuing to work with this cohort, and am Year 11 Year Adviser for 2024. Miss Mikaela Sheil is Assistant Year Advisor and is also here to assist your sons. My role is to assist the students of Year 11 with all aspects involved in their wellbeing and it’s impacts on their learning. I work closely with the school welfare team and classroom teachers to ensure your son has the best experience possible at East Hills Boys High School. I am the first point of contact for parents in relation to any issues regarding your sons’ wellbeing at East Hills Boys High School.
I have had the pleasure of working with Year 11 since they began Year 7 in 2020, and have seen them transition from hesitant little boys in Year 7 to the amazing, capable and confident young men they have become in Year 11.
And now, onto Year 11! The students are all now enrolled in their Preliminary HSC subjects, that they will carry through to Year 12 and their Higher School Certificate. Each student has selected the electives that highlight their interests and strengths and which will translate to HSC success.
During 2024, Year 11 will have many opportunities to get involved in at school and I encourage students to participate in as many school groups and activities in order to build memories of their last few years of school. Students will also have the opportunity midway through this year, to become part of the 2024 leadership team.
I will be passing on important information and documents throughout the year however, please do not hesitate to contact me with any further concerns.
I can be contacted by either email on julka.djokic@det.nsw.edu.au or by phoning the school on 9773 7806.
Students can find me in the English staffroom in S Block or in my classroom, 9D.
