An excursion for Investigating Science has been organised for your child/ward to participate in an Australian Microplastic assessment project. This Citizen Scientist project will be conducted by the Royal Nationals Park Environmental Education Centre at Kyeemagh Beach.

An excursion has been organised for your son/ward to participate in a day on campus at Western Sydney University, Milperra as part of the Fast Forward Program. The theme of the day is “Destination Unlimited: Flight WSU”. Year 10 activities are focused on providing information for students including recognition and application of individual skills and interests, exploration of career possibilities geared to personal strengths and developing students’ awareness of and familiarity with a university environment.

An excursion for Investigating Science has been organised for your child/ward to attend the Royal National Park where they will complete a one-way walk down the Honeymoon Track and a woodland investigation. They will also complete some freshwater investigations at the end of the track from Allambie Flat (on the Hacking River) – including dipnetting for macroinvertebrates and assessing water quality.

As part of your child's development in high school, a three-day camp has been organised for all Year 9 students, in July 2022. Its purpose is to build skills in team work, developing friendships, increase self-esteem, and provide an exciting and enjoyable environment to interact with peers. This is an invaluable opportunity in your child's high school experience and it is expected that all Year 9 will attend. Please note that camp places are limited to 110 students and operate on a first-pay, first-serve basis. Please see attached note for further details
