My name is Darren Navan and I will be working closely with year 12 in their final year of high school. My role is to assist the students of Year 12 with all aspects involved in their wellbeing as they navigate the HSC and transition into the next phase of life.
I have been, and will continue to be working closely with the school welfare team and their classroom teachers to ensure your son has the best experience possible at East Hills Boys High School. I am the first point of contact for parents in relation to any issues regarding your sons’ wellbeing at East Hills Boys High School.
I have been working with Year 12 over the past 4 years both as an assistant and as a year advisor, and have had the experience of teaching the majority of them since they started in Year 7. I have enjoyed watching them develop into the capable, talented and resilient young men that they are today. The bond they share with each other has grown over the past 5 years and I am proud of each and every one of them and their achievements.
The boys are now working in their respective subjects as they edge closer to their final HSC exams, and consider their path after high school. The boys will be able to seek assistance from our career’s advisor, Ms Hillier on possible pathways in either study or work. Either way, each student should be working hard to achieve their personal best while they are here as it will assist them with their post school options.
During 2023 our Year 12 students will have many opportunities to be involved in extra-curricular activities in a wide range of areas. There are plans for fundraising, sporting initiatives and bonding experiences which will enable them to create lasting memories they will take away from East Hills Boys as their schooling draws to an end.
Myself, and the school will be providing important information and documents throughout the year regarding exams and events, however, please do not hesitate to contact me with any further concerns.
I can be contacted by either email on email@example.com or by phoning the school on 9773 7806
