Transitioning from Primary School
East Hills Boys High School incorporates transitioning easy into high school.
We offer various programs and events for families to make it easier for students starting at our school.
Each year, East Hills Boys hosts a special sporting event for Year 5 boys from our local primary schools. This unique and exciting event provides students with the opportunity to experience our school, learn more about what we have to offer and connect with other students from the local community.
Students participate in a range of sporting activities, proudly representing their primary school while demonstrating teamwork, enthusiasm and great sportsmanship in a friendly and supportive competitive environment.
The day also includes a lunch or sausage sizzle, followed by a trophy presentation to celebrate the students' participation and achievements.
Students can register their interest through their own primary school once the event has been announced.
During Term 4, students who will be attending East Hills Boys the following year are invited to participate in our Orientation Day. This is a valuable opportunity for students to meet their future classmates, teachers, school executive and, most importantly, their Year Advisor, who will support and guide them throughout their journey at East Hills Boys.
Students are also given a tour of the school grounds, led by members of the Student Representative Council and Peer Support Leaders. This experience provides students with a hands-on introduction to high school life, helping them become familiar with their new surroundings, build connections and feel confident and prepared as they transition into high school.
Our Open Day provides a wonderful opportunity for families and members of the local community to explore our school and experience the facilities and opportunities East Hills Boys has to offer. Visitors are invited to take part in informative and engaging school tours, meet our dedicated staff, students and executive team, and gain a firsthand insight into life at East Hills Boys.
