Bunji Servio- EHBHS Therapy Dog

Bunji Servio- the therapy dog

Joining us in 2018, Bunji is a friendly Spoodle who is used to comfort students during stressful times.

Not only is he a great source of comfort for students and staff, but Bunji's presence enables students to demonstrate responsibilities of caring for an animal, and helps student to self regulate their voice, tone and movements to ensure Bunji also has a pleasant experience in the classroom.

Some other benefits of a therapy dog include:

Scientifically proven benefits of Dog Therapy

> Cognitive – Canine companionship stimulates memory, problem solving and game playing

> Emotional – an adorable four-legged visitor improves self-esteem, acceptance from others, calming effect, lifts mood and often provokes laughter
